Founders
Ashlan and Philippe are environmental advocates, social entrepreneurs, and filmmakers with a deep mutual passion for exploration and storytelling. Their mission is to inspire, entertain and motivate people to solve the critical issues facing humans, wildlife and the planet. The Cousteau’s believe making our world a better place can be a life changing adventure.
As social entrepreneurs, Ashlan and Philippe have founded two companies that are focused on building the restorative Blue Economy. Seavoir Wellness and SeaWeed Naturals are both wellness companies that bring restoratively farmed marine botanicals like kelp and algae into wellness products and supplements. As part of that work Ashlan and Philippe are launching a new campaign to help save the Southern Ocean around Antarctica. They are producing a documentary about ‘The biggest climate catastrophe no one knows about,’ the Southern Ocean krill fishery.
Ashlan and Philippe collaborate frequently in media, having co-hosted three seasons of their award-winning Travel Channel series Caribbean Pirate Treasure. In 2016 they co-hosted Nuclear Sharks, the highest rated show of Discovery’s Shark Week and premiered as the #1 show across all cable. In 2015 they co-hosted a three-part series with Takepart.com, exploring tiger and rhino conservation in Nepal called Treasures of the Terai.
